98 gt Hood latch question

Default 98 gt Hood latch question
My brother recently died and when he did i got his 1998 mustang gt. Well my wife drove it to the store and when she got back the hood woild not close. I found a spring but i dont know where it hooks to. And on the hood it self i think it is missing some kind of bracket. Heres pictures can some one help?

take off teh rad cover, youll see where the spring goes.
