what gears to choose

4.10 would be better since you have 4 speed tranny. 3.73 is very popular but i always see 4.10 recommended for AUTO tranny.
keep in mind 4.10 will give you much WORSE MPG on the interstate than 3.73
if you are really REALLY concerned about MPG i would go with 3.55
your stock rear end gear is a 2.73 so basically any upgrade is going to be a big big difference. 2.73 to 4.10 is going to feel like literally adding 50HP to your car. the trade off is higher revs when driving and high revs = more engine wear over time. if you only drive around town, go with 4.10
also 3.90 is an uncommon option I was considering with my auto.

^ +1 3.55's for a DD. I originally thought 3.73's were what I was going to do, I did some research and decided on 3.55. AM has a really good install instructional by a customer to give you an idea of how this needs to be done.

very few 99 and 00 autos that came with the 16" wheels and basic interior had 3.08s, unless your going FI or doing over 80% high way driving I would do 4.10s, otherwise 3.73s are a good upgrade, 3.55 will be a waste of money

I thought gt were 3.27? and I hope to do fi down the road that is why I chose 3.73 for daily driving and then blower down the road

CarCrazyJay,
I don't think you can really go wrong with 3.73 or 4.10's. A lot of guys prefer running 4.10's with autos, for a more aggressive accerlation. The fuel economy difference is minimal between the two, the only reason I would go with the lower gear is if you do a lot highway driving above 65mph!
Also, don't forget you'll need a custom tune to adjust shift speeds, for any aftermarket gear ratio and to recalibrate the speedometer. Our Bama custom tuners will more than do the job and will pick up some additional HP/TQ, as well as throttle response!
If you have any other questions about gears or custom tunes, just give me a shout. I'd be happy to help you out!
