Exclamation alternative donors for an alternator

Hi. I'm hitting the junkyards tomorrow, looking for a replacement alternator. Is there any other donor cars that I can pull form that will bolt up to a 4.6l 2002 mustang gt? Perhaps the crown vics with the same motor?

Technically they are different, but that isn't to say it couldn't be made to work. Another vehicle with the 4.6L is the F150, but same story there.

Maybe the crown vics or the marquis, some expeditions have the 4.6 as some explorers

Probably late, but you can get a 100% brand-new (not rebuilt) alternator with warranty off eBay for about 80 bucks. I got one and it's working fine. Came with a test sheet showing exact specs of the unit I got, plus 1yr warranty from the seller. No sense paying 100 bucks for a used pile of crap or 350 for a new one.

this

most of the time they are "clocked" at a different angle..and the top mounting tabs are in different position.. It would bolt up, but you may have trouble plugging it in and you'd have to make brackets for the top 2 bolts
