Need opinions on rear end setup for the cobra.
Option 1- put together the spare irs with ftbr bushings and coil overs and keep 16x8 drag wheels
Option 2- build the 96 SRA with a 31 spline setup and get a set of 15x10 rear drag wheels
The first option won't cost me anything other than swapping 3.90s out and putting 3.27s in since I have everything already. The second option would cost several hundred but would recoupe all of that and then some once i sell the built irs and the stock irs in the car currently. I know what uber and crash are going to say but what are others opinions and why?

Here is my opinion on the whole swap out the IRS thing. I understand swapping it out on cars that go to the track allot but these idiots that swap it out that go to the track maybe 3 times a year I just don't understand. The ride quality with a IRS is excellent and you spend most of your time driving your car not racing.
And wouldn't the 96 rear end look goofy in your car because it is not as wide as a 99/04 rear?

The 94-98 rear end is what most guys swap in and if I were to run a stock wheel it would look different but I would run a different offset than stock

Evan what kind of freaking question is this seriously, your gonna catch a choke slam at carlisle this year. SRA hands down even if it hits the track once a month its still worth it. I assume u never plan on hitting twistie racing, and who cares about NVH, ride quality, comfort and potholes in a car thats not a daily just go for the performance.
