275 50/15 or 275 60/15...will one have better traction than the other or basically just whichever one I can clear?

275/60/15 will kill your gear.. 28" tires make any gear feel like a whole 2 steps down. Will hook great....but too much.

Id go with the shorter tire...however not knowing your setup doesnt help me too much

I ran a 275/60/15 et street radial on my car and it helped my launch at the track, but also killed my launch.. I couldnt break 1.9 60' because the car would hook and fall on its face.. and thats with 4.10s and a 4500rpm side step. I could have went harder on the launch, but i also wanted to drive the car home with the axles in one piece.

ET Street Bias Ply for a stick car. The softer sidewalls help absorb the shock of the launch.

^^not ideal for daily driving, then again, neither are the DRs

That's fine and dandy. Except for where he said 70% street driven. Bias plies are sketchy at higher speeds

Edit. Ok I must have missed the second half of your post.

I personally run a 275/60/15 and love the look. Haven't had new setup to the track yet. It clears but you will have to roll your fenders if the car is lowered at all

Im about 475 hp to the ground..upr tubular k member/a arms/coilovers with strange 10 ways..Upr upper/lower in the rear with lakewood 50/50 shocks....Nothing stock left under the car but sway bars...upgraded 3650 with Mccleod clutch and 3.55 gears in the rear..Car also has line lock and 2 step to help build boost off line..
