Default T-3650 question

hey, i just pulled out my engine and transmission from my 2004 mustang gt. its has a t-3650 transmission and i am trying to separate the transmission from the engine. everywhere i read it says it should just pull apart and i have been trying and i can not separate them. is there a trick to separating the the engine from transmission? theres about an 1/2 gap between the engine and transmission and i can spin the transmission but can't completely separate them. thanks for the help

They should just pull right apart. With a 1/2 inch gap, I doubt it's a bolt holding it. Is the shifter handle hitting up top?

user error...if all 13mm bellhousing bolts are out, and the 2 13mm bottom plate bolts are out, it should slide off....try wiggling with 2 pry bars on either side of the "1/2inch gap"

if you fail to do this, you are a complete zilch...
