Default 99 GT Tranny issues (need ideas)

I have a 99 auto GT, starting to have tranny issues. I recently had the tranny fluid and filter replaced because of a defective filter. Today I was on a cruise when shifting from lower gears 1&2 to 3&4 my car would hit a false neutral. Only 1&2 were working and it would over rev then shift (not hard just at high rpms) so I shut it off let it cool down completely. After restarting it a while after it was shifting normally again but once it got warmed up all the way it started hitting false neutrals from 2nd to 3rd. It is still currently doing this which resulted in me having to drive it in low gears all the way home. I don't know what to think, could be a celenoid? Any ideas let me know. Thanks

False neutral = SLIPPING....tranny needs rebuilding! Bring it into a transmission shop or buy/install a used tranny.

It very well could be the 1-2 shift solenoid. If it gets hot and fails to operate or gets stuck momentarily it will get stuck between gears.

Ive seen cases where the solenoid goes bad and it wont ever shift out of 2nd or get stuck between gears depending on what solenoid it is. Heat increases resistance , and high resistance will cause this.
