Don't need our '99-'04 New Edges looking like a Frankenstein Monster with Marty Feldman EYEBALLS.

The 2005-2008 Mustang facia conversion listed here for my 1999 Mustang GT Convertible is just what I am looking for. I know some of you are against it but given the option of the original front facia or this new one, I'll take the new one for sure. Our Mustang is currently yellow but will be painted a deep burgundy with black accents. It will be a one of a kind by the time I am finished with it. Looking forward to another 160,000 miles with this car.

Just sell your car and actually get a 05-09. Don't ruin a NE with that ugly *** body kit.

If you can purchase the kit the car isn't one of a kind, theres a reason you don't see many of those cars around with that kit, because it looks terrible.

It's your car so do as you wish. Remember though. Being different is not always a good thing..

Well guys, I have owned mustangs since 1968. Had Mach 1's fast backs and now I was blessed with getting this 1999 mustang gt convertible. I love the rear end of the car because it is pure mustang. The front end is not, the new kit will make it resemble a mustang better and create a one of a kind car for the area I live in. I am not as fortunate as most of you due to my age. I cannot just run out and buy a new mustang or even nice used one. So, while I appreciate all of your comments, please let me have the dignity of fixing up the car I have to something I would really enjoy....thank you.. Charlie Walker USN retired.

I dont understand why u say it doesnt look like a mustang....it is a mustang..... And thats what they look like from 99-04. If money is an issue and u want the retro looks of a 2005 up, u do realize it would be 10x cheaper to sell that car and buy a 2005 right? Hell sharad from upr is tryinf to sell his 2007gt for 7,999$ and its mint and has nice upgrades. Your gonna spend thousands of dollars to convert that front end if your going to have it done and painted the righ way, the cost of that ontop of what u paid for the car is far more than buying a newer one, and u wont ruin a car the process.

I checked out the kit for the new front end and it is not that expensive. None of the sheet metal is change only the front facia. Some of the posts here are just like when I started to change out my stock looking 1967 mustang fastback with Shelby kit parts. That car turned out great and was fun to drive. Nothing on my 1999 Mustang will change except the front facia and a new paint job which it needs anyway. While I appreciate the links to where I can purchase this kit, I also don't appreciate the negative and degrading comments that a couple of you have stated. First of all, this isn't your car, secondly I own this car and have been doing the mechanical repairs needed to keep the power train in top condition. I will be doing interior repairs and will be replacing the convertible top after it has been painted. Not changing anything else except the front facia. And why would I want to go out and buy another mustang for 3 times what I paid for this one just to appease someone who can not see any other reality. Cars have been customized since day one they were available. If you have some positive comments please post them. If yours is negative, then sell your mustang and buy a Camaro....wow....can't believe some people!
