My rebuilt engine is knocking help!:(
 

Okay so i got my engine rebuilt with new pistons,rod bearings,polished crankshaft and all that and put on PI heads off another gt and got them ported&polished with stage 2 comps cams but theres this weird knocking and i cant figure out what it is! Help me out guys im trying to post a video but it wont let me...comment your email and i'll send it to you and let me know what you think it could be?

Did you reuse the lash adjusters? and did you replace the cam chain tennsioners?

Is it coming from the bottom end? Bramas i know tons of people that do cam swaps and dont replace the tensioners or lash adjusters did u have issue with that?

I used the same lash adjusters they told me it could be that. i got a video of it wanna check it out?

I also replaced the whole timing set! What i didnt replace were the lash adjusters and rocker arms

That's a upper end noise. Sounds like its in the valve train to me. Lash adjusters ? lifters? Tappets , lol what ever you call em in a 4.6l
Something along that line. It is defiantly up top.

These motors dont have lifters they have lash adjusters.
