I have an 01 gt auto. I have a set of 3.73 gears sitting in the garage and I was looking at stage 2 comp cams from american muscle(Comp Cams Stage 2 Xtreme Energy XE268H Camshafts (96-04 GT)). it says best with 3.23 to 3.55 gears, would that mean the 3.73s would be too much?

I have 3.73 gears and comp 262 cams. That combo will be just fine. Most would say to go 4.10s anyway.

Thanks for your reply, I never saw my update on this post. I will be getting the cams then! Nice to see another badass looking convertible. Looks identical to mine, except for the gray. Mine is black on black.

I would say 4.10's as well, but that also depends on future plans like f/i and although it's not a problem for me some people can't wrap their head around the idea of dd'ing a car with those gears. But either way, yeah, 3.73 or 4.10.
