Stock replacement is fine, no need to start messing with different heat range plugs on a mostly stock engine.
Only advantage to platinum plugs is a longer service life, if you want to save a few $$ then it's tough to beat Autolite 764's. Don't waste your time or money with any expensive, unobtainium coated/multi-electrode/fancy advertising campaign plugs that promise more mpg or hp vs. stock plugs, it's all bs. A spark is a spark, period. And if you really want to split hairs, copper is a better conductor than platinum or iridium. Coppers will last 20-30K miles, platinums about double that.

thx had a little pinging after loading there 87 performance tune and they sent me a new one same problem.i had the fuel filter changed and the throttle clean then ran the same tune with 93 octane and the car ran good.plugs are new just not sure what type there are.bamma said they recommended copper core so they can handle the heat from the advanced timing.thx for the reply

Can you please shoot me a PM with your order number included and I'll have the Bama team look into this for you and then give you a call! We can definitely get your tune right.
Hope this helps.
