I have been using Royal Purple for the past 2 years. I recently was told by someone that Royal Purple motor oil "eats" the metal in the engine.

Has anyone ever heard of this. Personally I think its one of the best motor oils there is. I actually went one whole year without an oil change with no problem. I did have to add a quart though.

Mobil1 is great too and i also hear amsoil is good too, but i haven't tried it.

cant see engine oil eating parts of the engine unless you don't change the filter...

I use Mobil1 full synthetic. An oil eating the metal kinda goes against what it is supposed to do, maybe there was another factor causing the person to give you a negative experience with Royal Purple.
