abs question

Default abs question

my abs light comes on and off and when it comes on my traction control light comes on the same time.then when I drive the car for a while the abs light and the traction control light goes off at the same time.is this something where I should be concerned about.

abs and tcs go hand in hand, so when one system has a fault, the other shuts down as well. You obviously have a bad component in the ABS system, going to have to get it scanned and the ABS codes pulled to begin diagnosis

When's the last time you changed your power steering fluid? Is it clean (red colored)?
When my son first got his used 2001 GT a couple of years ago, it was doing a similar thing to what you're describing. His PS fluid was filthy (black). Had obviously never been changed in 100,000 miles. Once it was replaced with fresh fluid, the problem stopped. Still works as it should.
Worth a shot.

do not, i repeat do not change your PS fluid for an ABS/TCS light

get the codes checked and report back
