So i recently just purchased my first 4.6L. Ive been a fox body fan my whole life but trying something new. I just bought a set of Cobra Rims they are 17x9 and 17x10.5 in the rear whats the best size for the rear ive been told 275/40/17 and also 315/45/17 by my local tire shop but im not sure. any opinions just want the best tire setup for my new project.

Both of those sizes will fit, the 275 being the smallest width and the 315 being "the widest acceptable" size. Most people will go with the 315 for the looks. The 275 will give a stretched look if that's your thing. Also, I think you mean 315/35/17 and not 315/45/17.

i haven't looked into it much just went to my local tire shop and they suggested either. I want a stretched look in the back, obviously more rubber in the rear the better.
