New Tires....
Hey everyone. It's been a while since I've been in the market for new tires for my Mustang, so I'm reaching out see what the latest and greatest are these days. I currently have Nitto 555R's in the rear and 555's in the front. My Stang is garage kept and not my primary vehicle. Can I get some feedback on which way I should go these days? I would know about the best traction, mileage, price, and handling in the rain or wet. A while ago I was considering BFG's or Mickey T's. Thanks in advance....

Hi-- I just put a set of Goodyear Eagle Sports on my 2003 Vert. My car is bone stock and not a daily driver with 62000 miles on it. I haven't put many miles on these tires but so far they grip good, are quiet, and have a 50000 mile tread life. Look them up on the net for reviews.-- Hope this helps.

Continental DWS's are good if you need all season performance. 250ish per tire. 50k warranty if they aren't staggered. Dry handling is good, but there are better tires. In the rain I glide through puddles and pass everyone without hydroplaning. Really good all season tire. I used to run BFG KDW's which were great. They had a little more dry handling and had a "grey area" to let you know before you were about to spin out. I loved them, but they are being discontinued from what I was told....and I wanted to try a different tire. I used to have the Nitto 555s and thought they had no grip. I could easily spin the tires without trying...especially going around corners.

New to the board and wanted to add my 2 cents.
I just got a set of the Sport Comp 2s last weekend. Very happy so far. Highly rated by Tire Rack, plus Sears had them on sale.
No snow where I live, but plenty of rain (just not this year) so these are a good choice. Highly rated in wet conditions.
Thanks and Hi!
