Ok, so I know someone has to have experienced this. The problem first started last month mid January. My car wont crank normally as if it were a starter problem. It makes a very low growl once or twice and after that there is silence for a split second and then there are loud clacking noises. I took the battery to advance auto thinking it might be the problem. And the person told me that it was producing only 75 cold cranking volts!! They charged it back to full power for free and tested its health. And told me that it was a very healthy battery. So i get back home and put everything back and the car starts right back up. A week and some days later, the car does the same exact growls followed by the clacking. Could it be the alternator? I dont have a voltmeter or a multimeter to measure its electric current power. So all I can do is assume. Help me please?

dead battery, replace the one you have, and make sure the terminals are clean and tight. Also, once you get it running make sure its charging... also make sure nothing is draining it over night
