Default Brand new clutch wire snapped. Why?

So I just got my 00 Mustang gt its a 5 speed and the clutch cable was replaced in December. Two days ago while driving the cable snapped in curious as to why or how it could snap when it's fairly new.

What brand cable did you use? Was the clutch replaced in Dec. along with the previous cable? As far as pedal effort recently, has it been extra difficult? And at what point along the cable did the break occur at?

Sometime the cables will snap if the quadrant is not aligned where the cable comes through the firewall.
