Default Mustang Fuel Issue

I have a 1999 GT 5 speed (lightly modded, nothing too crazy, just exhaust and an intake for mechanical mods, no tune) and a new problem has just come up this evening on my way home from work. The gas light came on, so I pulled into the nearest station and started pumping 87 octane. Only about a dollar in (very short time) it clicked like it was full. Confused, I tried one more time to pump, clicked. I even tried different angles and depths and they all clicked. It runs fine, and I don't think it is the fuel pump (could be wrong though, I am not a mechanic), so maybe it is a collapsed hose or something? Just would like an answer or some tips on how to fix this. Anything is appreciated.

Default

If it starts and runs it's not the fuel pump.

Try filling it up with gas can and pour it in slowly. Maybe a 2 gallon can.
