No need to do anything. I have 295 in the rear. I wanted 305 in the rear but since I have 18x10 wheels, discount tire would not recommend due to liability. They said I needed 18x10.5 wheels. I should have done some research on this. I would have stayed with the 17 inch wheels and got the 17x10.5 in the rears and had 315s. The difference from 295 to 305 is less than half an inch. Next time. Ed.

I just read that anything over 275 would need a quad shock removal.... Even my current setup is 285.. Where I read, it said, 295/35 and 305/35 would need the removal...
So my 18X9.5 will be ok with 295 or even 305's with no modding needed?

To answer your question I did not have anything removed from my setup. Not sure if a 305 will fit on a 9.5 inch wheel. Like I said Discount Tires would not put a 305 on a 10 inch rim because of liability issues

305 on a 9.5" wide wheel will be fine but anything over a 275 or 285 is just for looks. Once you go over that threshold, the outer edges of the tire start to round out and bulge and the full contact is lost. Also the lateral grip of the tire starts to lessen. To be honest, most people will never notice it and technically it still is safe to run a 295-305 on a 9.5 wheel.
