I didn't reverse my polarity and it's been well over a year since I did my swap. The only alterations to the wiring harness were lengthening the coil wires and the cam sensor.

I did wind up having to get the car tuned just to get it to run reliably and still have a bit of a starting issue but it is by far the best mod I've made to the car.

I still smile every time I open the hood.

Nice I'm using the intake to a 97 cobra and my stock GT fuel injectors hopefully so I don't need a tune

I used the stock GT ECU in mine when I did the Mark VIII swap.

I did use the stock ECU but I had to get a tune to get it to run right. I spent more time chasing that ghost than any other part of the project. Sometimes it would start right up and run, but never right and other times it refused to start at all.

After I got it tuned she runs like a raped ape. There is still a bit of a starting issue where I usually have to crank it a couple times before she'll light but that's a mouse turd I'm willing to leap over.

Oh yeah...one other thing. I tried brand new Motorcraft, Autolight, Bosch spark plugs but none of them worked worth a tinkers damn. No start / crappy running, etc.

After I put in a set of NGK tr55's, that was the golden ticket. Why will it work with only those plugs? Beats the hell outta me but I dicked with it and dicked with it so when I found a plug that will work consistently, I've stayed with it.
