Default The shark build thread 2.0

Well things have snowballed and gone in 20 different direction with my 97, figure I'd post a build thread pics will be soon to come.
The last setup was a factory 2004 cobra shortblock with factory 98 4v b heads, viper spec t56, procharger d1sc on 20psi, and a welded and build 8.8 on 4.10 gear. Best run was a 10.6@127mph 1.6 60.
Currently I am in the process of finished a 10 point roll cage in the car, adding door bars and roof bars. Im building a fresh motor. Teksid block .20 over diamond 11.5 cc pistons with valve releifs, manley h beams, arb studs through out, 04 DB casting cobra heads, comp stage 3 blower cams, procharger f1a (still decided between house of boost drive belt system or cog drive). Turbo 400 trans, giner 1-2 RVMB with trans brake, re-gearing rear to higher gear. All the parts have accumulated with the exception of a convertor and shifter. Pics to follow shortly.

Yea he loves it, probably going to re do the majority of the drivetrain, chasis, and suspension on my 68 after this car is done, so hopefully he will be able to be involved in that. Also have plans to do a father/son full restoration on probably a 67-68 fastback or possible a 69-70 mach 1.

Sounds like it's gonna be gnarly as fk. What kinda numbers and et's are ya hoping for? What's up with your previous setup, sold it or did something go wrong?

I had issues with stock b head valve springs at 20psi of boost, only holding 29 pounds of seat pressure. but it ran. I sold the t56, and I opted to go with c heads because b heads lack a lot of low end power and torque with IMRC deletes. Rather the better power curve. Not sure what it will do for power not concerned, but on the old setup the car went 10.60s. Should be well into the 9s all said and done.
