Rough idle, step on gas and it dies.
Hello. I have a 96 Mustang GT Coupe, 4.6l V8 SOHC, it has a rough idle, and will die if you step into the gas. I'm leaning towards a vacuum leak, or a possible clog in fuel system. But I'm not sure so I thought that I'd ask the wisdom of this forum and hope for an answer or at least a direction. Thank you.

I just dealt with this. Mine ended up being the fuel pump (180k on the OG pump, can't complain). But it could be the fuel filter, dirty MAF.
Clean the MAF. Check your fuel pressure. If low, do the filter. Re check. If still low, most likely your pump.
