2004 GT bad performance. Suggestions please?
Hi to all. I am new here but perplexed about my cars performance. I would like to get some objective opinions for improvement. Below, I have listed the mods and most recent 1/4 mile times. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!! David.
Best 1/4 mile ET: 14.55 MPH 95.6
2004 GT 40th Anniversary
Automatic
Stock 3.27 rear gear
Mods:
78 mm BBK throttle body and 1/4" spacer
Stage 1 Competition cams
BBK cold air intake
Fomoco 24lb injectors
Steeda underdrive pulleys
BAMA tune
Magnaflow exhaust (no back cats with X pipe)
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

What's the rest of your timeslip look like? 60' time can say a lot. What were track conditions - elevation, ambient temperature etc? Do you have any previous times to compare with?
And the big one, traction... What's going on there?
Your time and trap speed are a bit slower than what I would expect given your mods, but at the same time completely within the realm of possibility. That BAMA tune probably isn't helping you either. Given your cams and 24lb injectors I would highly consider getting a real tune done on a dyno.
Swap to lower gears - 4.10 would be my recommendation. Install an aftermarket torque convertor and J-Mod valvebody on your transmission. Then get a decent set of lca's and some drag radials for track outings.
Do those things along with a proper tune and given decent track conditions and good driving on your behalf, I could see the car running mid-13's.

Thanks Z28KLR,
I cannot find my slips in order to provide 60ft times but I will say this. It hooked up every time. No tire spin. All tree lights were .0xx. Since it has the 3.27 gear, it is surely a turd out of the hole.
Outside air temp was 50 degrees and elevation 564ft. All 3 trap speeds were within 1-2 miles per hour. On the last past, I took out the race tune and input the street tune and it went 14.66 at 94mph.
BAMA has requested that I perform a data log and send to them but I have yet to exactly figure out how to do it. LOL
BTW: Given the mods, I was hoping to be in the 13's since most info tells me that the car runs 14.1 to 14.4 stock from factory.
