non pi 4.6. bone stock from valve cover to oil pan. definitely not going to go na. planning on turbo charging the car. goal is 300whp. i know the engine will do that. but im wondering if it will do so reliably. anyone have any experience with 4.6 at these power levels?

Only 300?? It'll do that all week man.
But 300 whp with turbo.... what is that, like maybe 3 or 4 psi? Seems like a waste of time to shoot for that power level, you could easily and safely hit 400 whp. I know people running closer to 450 on stock bottom end but much past 400 there are no guarantees on how long it will hold together. Could last anywhere between two weeks and two years like that.

It's cus it's a non pi engine. That would be well over 100 extra hp that's what made me wonder. The whole point of the build is reliability. And since it's mated to a 4r70 I was also concerned with the longevity of the transmission as well. But 300 to 350 wheel horse would be perfect for me. What about the fuel pump? Would the stock fuel pump handle that?
