Default Sct x4 tuner

Just trying to understand this tuner as to what it can do. It came with my car so I didn't buy it but I loaded the 93 octane tune on it which only thing I noticed different was the price at the pump. I saw you can do timing bumps but is the timing already bumped max on that setting?

Anyone doing something different with this without buying a tune?

Mods are full exhaust, Cai, 373 gears, throttle body.

Then it was probably already tuned for a 91-93 octane tune. I noticed
the difference right away from stock to the 93 octane tune, even with using
87 or 88 octane fuel, it still launches better. Just can't get on it due to
time pulls with 87,88 octane fuel, but it's better. I am also getting as high
as 28 MPG highway on 91 octane fuel with the tune, and new NGK G-Force
plugs.

You wanna test it, just go with the stock tune, run it, then go to the 93, you
will notice the difference.

I don't drive it enough I guess to notice it. I just think that engine wasn't powerful enough from the factory

Speaking of SCT and Tuners... If you have one, you best never update it, and hang onto it, as Florida is trying to shut them down.

They're not trying to shut them down, they're ordering them to stop selling
tunes that disable emissions control devices. Nothing in that article says
they are being shut down. Penalized is not shutting down. Them shutting
down may be because they go bankrupt. IT's still as bad as selling guns, then
someone killing someone with it. I mean, they make the tuners and the tunes,
it's up to you to use it.

This opens the door for all tuning companies to be fined. Technically, tuning
the ECU is tampering with an emissions control device. I see more tuning
companies being harassed later on.

SO, SCT, BAMA and Bully Dog users, if you update your tuners once this
takes effect, you will loose the custom tunes made for you, if you had them
make tunes that ignores sensors and the like. Back them up to your PC
as custom tunes if you must.

The Cat and DPF cannot be disabled, if they're present. Removing them, then
making tunes to ignore the DTCs, is what they do. Removing a DPF from a
diesel results in a lot more HP and MPG. I cracked mine purposely to be
more free flowing, unplugged the EGR (closed) and ignored the MILs, There
are no diesel emissions requirements in PA, so didn't have to worry about that.
That alone, is 100% illegal, but not enforced unless a State Trooper happens
to be at the inspection station....

So, writing software so the DTCs are not set, and not stored, is also 100%
illegal. They got caught, and will pay the price for it. I said they would,
eventually. It still won't stop us from making our own tunes, if you know
how, and have the software to make them.

Again, there is no mention of SCT being PUT out of business by the EPA and CARB,
but that could be the end result.

Diablosport is safe, because they refused to make tunes that disable emissions
devices. They sold software that allows YOU do do it, but they refused. Plus,
they didn't make a VW tuner anyway. FlashZilla, they may be next, they also
made tunes that would ignore the DPF and EGR sensor reading so you could
remove them, by replacing the entire exhaust system with a DPF less, and EGR
less system..

So, then they should also start going after people who make the CATless, DPFless
downpipes, and EGR bypasses, and so on. It's only fair, because they are
omitting the place holders for emissions control devices, hence the need for
someone to tune them out...

This country must be desperate for money, our taxes are not enough, neither
was VW's 18-billion....
