Default 01 mustang gt misfire with no code

My 4.6 is sputtering when I get on gas hard , the idle is fine . Unplugged each coilpack one at a time and all
coils seem fine . Could it be just a bad plug?

Could be air getting in behind the MAF sensor. Any unmetered air that gets
in, can cause rough running, and not throw a misfire code.

You need to get someone in the car, rev it up to 3000 RPM and see if it still
misfires, and look around. If it is an actual misfire, once the RPMs
are up, it would do it.

Also, it can be pulling timing under load, that will not throw a misfire code either.
That's usually bad plugs.

Your misfire will throw a code after so many faults. It took my misfire to show a check engine light after 50 miles. But my OBDII showed a misfire on the third plug on the section listed under pending faults with no check engine light.
