Default 97 lincoln mark viii/97 cobra driver side cylinder head tick

I have a 04 gt with a 97 Lincoln mark viii/cobra engine all lower internals and cylinder heads are from the mark viii the intake is from the cobra. I have a lash adjuster tick or cylinder head tick that I just cannot get rid of. I replaced all 32 lash asjusters with ford OEM lash adjusters and the problem persists. It only ticks in the driver side cylinder head and it's super annoying. At idle and about 1500 to 2500 rpms the tick can be heard. Sounds like a loose rocker and not a rod knock it sounds like the cam is just smacking the adjuster over and over I've put 2 new sets of lifters in this engine and cannot get the tick to go away please help

you did the lifters but did you do the rockers? I had that problem with my 98 cobra and i replaced rockers and lash adjusters and the noise went away. it also isnt uncommon for the chain guides to start to come apart. the plastic slides wear off the metal backs. If you've done the lifters AND rockers already id be looking in the timing cover at the chain tensioners and guides

Ford OHV engines are notorious for valve train tick. I had that in my 05 F-150 FX4. I could never get it to go away.

I replaced all the lash adjusters only I did not replace the rockers I think one of them may be bad not sure tho and the whole entire engine was just built a month ago so all the timing components dont even have 500 miles on them does anyone know where to get a set of rockers for a 97 cobra? Need 32 lol

I'm also having idle problems while coasting when the engine is up to temperature if I'm coasting at like 55mph the rpms go up and down up and down while the clutch is engaged then idles high when I come to a stop for a few seconds then goes down to normal idle
