Default What to use to plug the ac line?

I'm considering buying an a/c delete pulley because the a/c in my 98 GT doesn't work and I don't really need it. I also believe there's a bit of a squeal coming from the a/c pulley so might be due for replacement anyways.

I've read a few guides on installing them and they all mention plugging the ac lines by the firewall after I remove the tubing to the compressor but they never mention what to use to plug them. So what would be the best option to plug them?

Also, during my haste in replacing my valve cover gaskets, I accidentally openned the ac lines by the firewall and the ac fluid sprayed out. Now I'm definitely sure the system is no longer pressurized but do I still need to take it to an ac shop to get evacced for any possibly remaining ac fluid?

If you're removing the A/C compressor, condenser, dryer and accumulator, all that is
left is the evaporator, which is in the car. If permanent, then crimp them closed, if
not use rubber or plastic caps.

Go to autozone, They have packages of various size rubber tube end caps.
