MERCON Tranny Fluid Replacement?
What transmission fluid do you use in your New Edge Mustang GT? I have a 2000 and it calls for MERCON. Obviously they quit making that a while ago so I’m trying to decide which ATF to use. I use Valvoline Max Life oil and I love it. Anyone tried the Valvoline Max Life fully synthetic ATF in one of these?

Mercon V is backwards compatible with Mercon and is approved by ford to use where Mercon is called out.
personally I never use universal fluids (trans, coolant, etc) too much other junk in there that you don’t need/use. It’s just fodder for dirtying up the system it’s in faster.
