A twin screw is considered a positive displacement supercharger is it not?

Why not include turbochargers?

I ain't gonna mess with the exhaust, so no turbochargers. The stock system is plenty good enough--enough for 600HP according to Kenne Bell, plus I like the sound of my stock exhaust now that I have dampened out the road noise.

Thx,

Mike

Yes, twin screws and roots are both positive displacement superchargers.

I love my Roush. Takes the car to a safe limit, easy power, no maintenance(yet), and full 3 yr 36k warranty

Well I voted for the Saleen, it looks the best underhood in my opinion plus the performance is hard to beat. Although I am going with a Powerhouse turbo, they are installing it next week. [sm=happybounce.gif]

The thing I don't like about the Magnacharger is the jackshaft, why put a pulley on the front of the motor attached to a long shaft that attaches directly to another pulley that turns a belt that turns a pulley that finally turns the supercharger? Seems like a lot of unnecessary crap to me.

I dunno- thought it looks kinda neat...the one concern I had was, I couldnt see how they tension the rear belt...looks to me like the shaft would be at a slight angle if centerlines adjusted, but adjustable backside idler aint ideal either...the jackshaft/pullies wouldnt add much inertia, and are pretty simple, those dont worry me too much- I think the reason for jackshaft was for allowing all the stock stuff to stay in place, yet get throttle body fwd...
