it is 4" dia 6061 T6 aluminum. the only issue with clearance is if you have lowered the car and still use stock rear control arms. sometimes the rear end housing will rotate so much the driveshaft rubs the tunnel by the shifter. good UCA,LCA's fix this issue and then you are good to go. mine has been in for over a year now with lots of hard track duty with slicks and no problems. even if it did break now i'd still build another one. it's worth it performance wise.

Thanks Spyder7724!

Does this ranger shaft have 1350 series u-joints or are they 1330 series?
What length is the shaft after you have it shortened? about nine inches shorter or so?

Thanks again, Brian

since they have slip joints it's hard to give an accurate overall length but just have them cut it 9" and you will be fine. the shaft must be a ranger 4x4 126" wheelbase. thats what all my measurements are for. i know one guy on another forum used a different year ranger shaft but he had to change the cradles on the ends of the d/shaft for it to work. oh and i beleive it does have the 1350 series u joints. the companion flange you use M4851B is made for the 03-04 cobras which do use the 1350 series and my d/shafts bolt up to it perfectly. hope this helps!

UMM...make that one. I just bought one for one of my friends! I guess since I have been running one I am sort of a rolling advertisement for you locally. And for anyone that is considering this in leau of trying to do it yourself, Spyders price is barely a stretch over what I paid to get my parts and have it modified. Very good deal from Spyder considering he does all the leg work. If we could only get him to come to the house and put em' in too. Hey Spyder, please PM me with info on the Auto tranny pan with dipstick. Still going strong?

yeah it works great. i was going to buy some to sell but i just don't have the funds necessary to buy enough to get a good price. they are available through Performance Automatic. if you guys come to MD i'll help you install them(driveshafts that is) it only takes about 30-40 minutes.
