TSB For Gear Rollover Noise

TSB For Gear Rollover Noise
I think my car might be experiencing the problem stated in TSB 18753 --which it describes as gear rollover noise. But I was wondering if anyone who has had this problem can describe what noises the car made, symptoms etc? My has an almost clicking type sound anytime I go above about 15 miles per hour, it seems to be coming from the rear-end but I can't tell for sure. Basically, when I get going and shift into second anytime after that I can hear it, but it the most noticeable between 30mph to a stop when I let the car coast to a stop. It makes the noise with the car in gear or out but seems to be more pronounced with the car in neutral (bascially the exhaust doesn't mask the noise). So I guess to decribe my noise it would be 30mph and down when coasting I have a noticeable clicking sound coming from somwehere in the driveline. Any other guesses on what the problem could be would be appreciated.

I am not trying to sound stupid or like an a** but where do you get that TSB number from. Maybe I am looking at the wrong numbers. I am looking at the bulletin number and none of them that I saw for the 2005 were 052002??? Sorry again I am not trying to be a pain I just don't see the numbers you are talking about. What is it under? I am looking at the ones that say powertrain Axle assembly. Thanks again for the help.

RE: TSB For Gear Rollover Noise
I may be up shyt creek on this one I noticed a little groaning this morning while making a low speed turn and I get a bit of a a warble sound when I'm coasting down between 70-60 then it dies out. I can only guess my 4.10s may be the cause. But I few differnent people I talk to tell me there would be a little more noise(not whine though) coasting down like that. I'm not getting any whine during cruise or accelerating but I am concerned now. []

RE: TSB For Gear Rollover Noise
The gear roll over noise was never a TSB. It was a bulletin only. I have been dealing with this ever since I got my stang in 05. I have talked to a dealer that is going to pull the tranny and inspect the gears. I know the sound you are talking about. A whine I can put up with but a rock crusher sound tells me that there is a problem. We drove a couple of other GT's and they did not make that sound, so there is a problem.

RE: TSB For Gear Rollover Noise
Well I was just paranoid on the low speed turn noise but the coast-down noise is there. Can I live with it? Sure. Is it a sign of something bad? Don't know. I changed my gear oil after break in and there were no abnormal signs of wear.
