Default Flowmaster AT 17410 Durability/longevity

I've finally decided on Flowmaster AT 17410's for my axle-back exhaust, but I've noticed that they are remarkably cheaper than a lot of other brands. Can anyone that has these comment on the longevity/durability of them? Is there a decent reason as to why they are so drastically cheaper?

FYI... D'Agostino has em for $256.50 (+S&H after %5 MF discount) right now.

I haven't heard if this model has the "rattle" problem, it's hard to admit that $256.00 is cheap for mufflers on this car but that does seem low. I remember when Flowmaster was the mufflers to go with. I hope they are working on this as their rep is sliding. Good luck with the decision.

If you want to hear the 17410's check out this site. http://www.speedunleashed.com/NEW_Fl...k-p-20158.html

It's hard to say but the rattle issue that has cropped up is supposed to be fixed. I had a slight buzz in my one muffler and I called up Flowmaster and I'll tell you that they were very cordial, helpful and efficient. I had a complete replacement kit drop shipped to my door no questions asked.

So if their quality slid (which I don't think it has) their service certainly hasn't suffered.

I've had mine on for about 6 or 7 months, and love em. They just keep getting better and better. If you want, let me know. I have a pretty good video I did awhile back. Also, any idea how much the shipping will cost? They are kind of heavy. Only reason for asking is that Brenspeed carries em for 299.00 delivered.....may want to check the shipping cost.

Best of luck. They sound great.

I'd be very interested to get that video you spoke of... As for the shipping, it was $23.31 for UPS Ground to me (in ID), not sure what it would be for you. Still, $279 delivered is the best price I've found so far.

Yep, that's a good price. I thought the shipping would be more. Like I said, they're kinda heavy....Anyway, here's the video. I was REALLY bored one day after detailing the pony, so the "Pony Tail Cam" was born......

I don't get any audio from their video... is it just me? I can view all their other videos and the audio is fine, but no audio on the one you linked (for me anyway).

Good stuff Mike! Tha video is awesome! How did you attach it to your bumper? It almost looks like you have it hanging right between the tail pipes. I have to say though... if I had that many speed bumps on my street, I'd go friggin ape s*&t!

Thanks again for the video, I'm ordering my AT's today.

Tell me about it. Occupational hazard of being white trailer trash....(Mobile Home Community)

The video is actually shot with my Sony still camera, which has a movie mode.....The camera was "taped" to my licence plate The neck strap was tied to my truck latch, and then the trunk obviously closed, so there was no way the camera could fall. Then I secured it to the licence plate with good ol duct tape....

Funny part, you don't see in the video....Photobucket only lets you download less than 5 minutes, then cuts it off....At the end of the full length video, as I'm pulling back into my place, my 11 year old can be heard saying....."Why do you have the camera taped to the car???? Hilarious....

Glad you liked it,
Mike
