Default Noises - any guidance helpful

So I've got two new noises on my 06 GT auto. The first is when I turn. It sounds as though its coming from the rear wheels. It sounds like the noise you hear when you are turning on concrete in a parking deck that has layer of clear coat or something equally slick-like. The second noise is a extra "whine" when you hit the gas hard. Sounds like in the engines effort to "push" something - gas or air - theres a leak or something like a flywheel is spinning out of control.

Am taking it to the dealership this weekend to see if I can get one of their tech guys to ride with me so they can hear but just wanted to see if y'all had any thoughts or comments.

I hope you have your problem straightened out by the Dealer.I didn't experience those types of noises myself,in my own car.You are doing the right thing by bringing it to the Service Dept.

There is a TSB for the rear end noise. I took my 06 GT vert to the service dpt this week for the same problem.

I took mine GT06Auto into the dealer for the whooshing/whine/air noise. I noticed the problem around 5000RPM or whenever I punch it.

Just got a call from the dealership and they said that it is a known characteristic with the 06GT and there is no fix at this moment.

I have been told that it is a gear noise (betwwen 2nd and 3rd).

I also had a new driveshaft put in to fix the 10MPH vibration.

So...after I sign off on the service papers, I'm going to test drive another 06GT auto and find out if that one gives the same noise. We may have to bitch about this to get anything done. I can see me taking it back in a couple of days for the same issue. If they deny me - I'm going to ask for another GT.

got the car back today. The TSB for the rear end noise is TSB#06-19-02. They replaced the limited slip clutch pack.

Mine was at the dealership for a week. They had to replace the rear end clutch packs, replace the fuel pump for a hesitation problem, adjust the passenger window, and some other cosmetic work. The big hold off was they had to order the fuel pump.

got a call from the dealership this morning.....they couldnt hear the noise! I had to drive to the dealership and take the service manager for a ride. After hearing the noise, I got back in my loaner car and had to leave my baby there again...I gave them the TSB number and I hope they dont try to give me any crap over fixing it. And I hope it wont take to long!

Noise, vibration and harshness is VERY difficult to troubleshoot over the internet. In many cases it involves "getting out and getting under." Best of luck with it.
