Is anyone having problems with their 5 speed transmission in the 2005 mustang gt or heard of any problems? When i first bought my car they had a recall on any new gt's made before january23rd of 2005 because they had metal shavings in the tranny. Well i had that problem and couldnt get it warrantied because of my modifications. I bought a new tranny and installed it, when i broke the old one down, i noticed that a small pin had got stuck between the shift rods and i think thats what was keeping me from being able to shift into any gear but first. Well now my new transmission is doing the same thing. I rolled out from a stop light last night and without any warnings or anything, i was unable to shift into any gear. I have no neutral, reverse, or any gear except for first. When you let of of the clutch it takes off. I believe it might be pin stuck between the shiftrods again. I have been searching the net for problems on the new transmission but have had no luck in finding anything. Does anyone know of anyproblems with the new tranny or a site where i can read up on the problems? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

I am sorry to hear of your difficulty.No problems shifting my 5 speed.My previous car was an 04 Zo6 and I eventually sold (it) due to transmission problems. More than one instance I had it repaired for bent shift forks.Don't know if your issues has anything to do with that.I did push that car hard and it didn't stand up to the abuse.
