i was just gona ask what do you lot think of comp cams because im gona get the xtreme energy stange 1 (1000rpm to 5500rpm)
what do you think ? and do they work well on are engines

"Camming up" an engine was a popular and useful mod in the old days of torquey engines. Keep in mind that camming it up basically moves the torque peak to a higher RPM. With the old torquey engines, this was a good thing if you're goal was to add horsepower. The engines had enough inherent mid range torque to tolerate this and still have reasonable drivabilitiy if you didn't go too far with the cam choice.
Todays engines, however, already have torque peaks way above 4,000 RPM. Camming them will move the torque peak to such a higher RPM that it will make even a worse low RPM pig than it already is.
Our modern engines respond well to all sorts of mods and luckily SC's are the norm, but camming them up is not a good route if you are also interested in street drivability.
My $0.02.
