Hey Guys what's up? This is my first time posting a comment in the part of the forum. I have a question for you 2005-2007 V8 owners...how's you're gas milage? Do you really get 22-20mpg? Or is it more like 15mpg? I'm curious because I want to try to buy a new mustang by the end of this year. I know usually a lot of dealerships make some pretty good deals towards the end of the year because their trying to clear out their inventory and make room for the new models. But, anyway I ask about the gas milage because I do commute a lot so, I'm just wondering if I should just get the V6?.

Of course I did. Who the heck is going to trust what the computer says?
I never even use the computer display. I keep it set to the trip odometer. I calculate my mileage based on the odometer and my gas reciepts.

LOL ok, I just wanted to make sure you guys weren't just reading it off the sticker or the websites. Because my dad's explore says on this website called "fuel economy" that it should be getting about 20-22mpg, and in reality he's only getting about max. 18mpg and to top it all off it's only a V6.

These mileage numbers being posted seem high but to give you a comparison, my 05 V6 vert has never gotten over 21 mpg and most of my driving is on the highway. Let me preface this by stating that my daily commute is 15 miles each way and the car has never been on the Interstate for a long trip so it may do better but the majority of most peoples driving is not on long trips.

Do you drive with your top down often? Driving with your top or windows down will kill your highway mileage.
When I say I get 25 on the HWY I'm talking about long highway drives: 200+ miles round trip.
