I don't get it. My FRPP exhaust has drone, but only when cruising in 4th at 55mph or cruising in 5th at 65mph. My simple solution is to do 70 in 5th, if thats not an option then i'll do 65 in 4th, etc. By cruising I mean the cruise control is on.

Where can I find more info on the resonators? I have tried googling the item and all I find are "glass packs" that u see on the rice burners. I have not seen any discussion about resonators on the forum. Also, would they restrict airflow or affect torque?

Hey Virgule, You obviously do not know the price of Corsa mufflers installed versus the price and benefits of the other mods I am considering. As far as my little adventure, why the hostility?
Everyone else, thank for the info! Will keep you all posted

CrazyAl, thanks for your feedback regarding resonators. But, looking at the threads you referred me to, it does not appear that resonators will guarantee elimination of drone. The results appear mixed at best. Sounds like an expensive gamble to me.

I have MACs with SLP LT headers and X pipe, you can hear me coming, drone is there at approx. 1800-2000, however with stock gears at 80 (highway speed) I get no drone at all, even driving around town I just crank up the Metallica, if you don't like the drone you probably should just stick with the factory mufflers !!! I can tell you one thing about exhaust sound, ever since I replaced stock stuff nobody wants to traffic light race anymore, at one point I had VW bugs wanting to race, it gets annoying, now people want no part of me, nice little benefit !! lol

Hey
Have you considered Flowmaster mufflers? I have a few GT owner friends who swear by them. I've driven their GT's and heard them myself. They sound great, look great, good price and no drone whatsoever.
I have a pair on mine and it's a 4.0. Same sweet situation. No drone!
Good luck!
