Gear swap for my 5 speed GT

RE: Gear swap for my 5 speed GT
I have an 06 GT 5-speed with stock 3.55 gears. I already installed the Eibach pro-kit plus suspension, BMR panhard bar, upper bushings, camber bolts, and Metco Lower Control Arms. I am thinking of switching my stock gears to 4.10 gears. I am wondering if my suspension upgrades are sufficient for the gear swap? Is there anything else I need? Also, should I install a short throw shifter?

The short throw shifter is a matter of preferance. A lot of guys like them. I'm happy with the stock shifter.

Gas mileage? There are plenty of gas staions :-)
Depends on what you want, I put 3.73 (3.31 stock) in my automatic. Because of the other mods, my gas mileage went up slightly on the highway ( 24.3, which STILL freaks me out ). However, in town, my gas mileage went down ( my driving habits obviously ). My average gas mileage before my mods was 21.3 at 35 MPH. I did some highway and town test after the mods, then reset the CPU and let it run, I'm getting 20.3 at 34 MPH since ( over 3k miles ). So, it "might" depend on your driving habits and other mods.
Gears worth it? Depends...
I'm considering taking the 3.73 out and putting back in the stock 3.31. The 3.73 is great out of the hole and a blast in town, but everything has a give and take. If you want great 1/4 mile times and don't plan on driving 140 MPH, do it. To me, the 3.73 has taken some fun out of he car at higher speeds. My "3.73" car will beat my "3.31" car for 1/4 mile, but after a 1/4 mile, the 3.73 will NEVER catch the 3.31.
There is no right or wrong, just depends on what you want and how you drive.

ok with 4.30 gears at the redline you will trap at 113 mph, thats low 12s if you run out of gear before then you are either a crazy driver and have the fastest time ever for just gears, or you cant drive, or your basing your "experience" on hearsay
