Default Royal Purple Max Gear

What gear oil is best for intalling gears. Royal Purple Max Gear 75W140 or 75w90? What's the diffrence? Thanks.

The factory manual specifies 75W140. That is what you should use.

The numbers refer to the thickness of the oil at high temperature. 75W140 is thicker than 75W90. Thicker oil will protect the gears better and also can help keep the gears quieter.
