ANYBODY ELSE WANT A DRIVESHAFT?

RE: ANYBODY ELSE WANT A DRIVESHAFT?
i will have 3 more this week. i had to get them from MN this time so it's taking longer to ship to me. i'll PM youwhen i get them.
so far there haven't been any issues with the autos. remember this driveshaft was made for the ford ranger with a 5r55s trans and 8.8 rear. ford has redigned the shaft twice due to the vibration problems they experienced. thats why i use the newest version only. my car is an auto and there are a half dozen or more out there with this setup and so far no problems. i have found that correcting the pinion angle is critical on some cars with the auto trans. no problems with manuals either.
i will say this: if you have gear noise or slight vibrations already then you will feel/hear them more when switching driveshafts. the stock two piece absorbs a ton of crap generated by the rear differential. these cars have some inherant problem from the factory that causes a great deal of harmonics.ford did a lot of work to cover up some problem they couldn't find in the s197.i personally believe it's the posi unit from my experience but i haven't replaced it with a different model yet. it's funny how the V6 cars have the same trans but a different rear and they didn't have a problem with NHV when using a factoryone piece shaft.
so if you have a problem now get it fixed beforeyou replace the driveshaft no matter which shaft you go with.
