I have the pro 5.0 on my car. Installed it myself (with my wife's help). I paid $280 for it. The shifts are solid, and it's quite an improvement from stock. There is only a small difference in the "short throw" part, but I'm very happy with the feel and way it goes into third now. The install wasn't too bad. If you're doing it yourself, you'll probably have to remove the drive shaft. If you have someone's help, you can work around the drive shaft and take the shifter out from inside the car. I have no complaints about my Pro 5.0 shifter.

Good luck.

Two suggestions when putting the PRO 5.0 in:

1. When connecting the handle to the shifter portion of the unit, you can place it either on the passenger side or the driver side. I suggest the passenger side, because I put mine on the driver side and after a few months I put a wear mark on the leather boot, so I put it on the passenger side.

2. Make sure you tighten the bolts holding the handle with the shift *** the best you can. I'm not sure if they suggest putting locktight on but it seems like a good idea. I would probably ask them before doing this. Mine came loose a couple of times under hard shifting. I finally put some real muscle behind it and it hasn't came loose since.

You will LOVE your new shifter. It's different, but better.I had a similiar install compared to JZ.
