Smoke on start up???
Let me know if anyone else here has this problem. I don't drive my 06 GT everyday it sits for a week or two at a time, but after it sits for this amount of time I get some smoke on initial start up. Anyone else experience this??? Should I take it back to the dealer? I only have 2200 miles on the car and I did the first oil change at 2000 miles but it was doing the same thing before the oil change. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Smoke on start up???
Mine will do this sometimes . It seems like mine will do it if I crank it up and move it maybe around the yard and shut it down while everything is still cold ...after it sits a couple hours and fire it up I will get a blue / white smoke ...not everytime but it does happen ...

RE: Smoke on start up???
My bet is that the oil that gets into the intake from the PCV system is slowly dripping down. So that you only see it when the car has been sitting long enough for it to puddle in each runner.
I know that when I did my CMCV plates (the car was a month old with less then 3k miles on it) there was a fair amount of oil in the runners and on the CMCV plates.
I'm going to put in an oil catch can very soon and also wash out the intake one day and clean it as best I can.

Both of my cars do the same thing. If they don't get started for a while, say 5 days to a week, then when I do finally start them they put a little puff of smoke out the exhaust. I don't think it's anything to worry about.
