Default LPW Extra Low Profile Ultra-Pro Covers

Does any one have this installed on their rear end? http://www.lpwracing.com/featured.asp Because I was thinking of having one installed on mine when I got my gears swapped out for 4.10s, becuase I know its suspose to help strengthen the rear housing. But i dont know if i would be wasting my money or saving it in the long run. I mean I plan to bolt on everything on my car but FI. SoIdont know if I would truly needit or not. Sorry if its a dumb question, any help would be much appreciated.

I've got one. They are a great unit. However, they are not needed unless you are planning to go FI in the future. If you're staying naturally aspirated, don't waste the money.

I have that cover and am very happy with it. When I changed from my 3.73 gears to 3.73 gears, Motive to Ford due to noise, we could see where the caps had been supported from some hard street launches. I am currently N/A but it leaves pretty hard and I think it is a help. With FI I would think it would be a necessity.

Another question.....my shop moved my appointment to tommorrow, so i would not be able to get the diff. cover by then, so is it a pretty basic install, because it seems like it and I would would prefer to get dirty rather than having to drive back there and pay them to do it.

I don't know...I'd probably wait on the install until I had the cover. This way you don't have to spend more $ on differential fluid. Then again, that costs me ~$70 here in Germany.

Im not to worried about the price of the oil, which I think I paid less than $40 for the recommended amount. Im mean considering gas and how much they charge per hour, Im pretty sure it would cost much more to take it back, because of the fact that I dont want to wait another month(booked up until then)I would have to take it back. But if the install is basicallylike this http://www.lpwracing.com/install_2.aspthen I should have no problem I believe.

Yep that is about the jist of the install. Although i would not remove the bearing caps. No need.

Do i follow the same torque values or should I go with different ones? If everything is as basic as the directions say, I think it should be a cinch.
