Default 06 Gt automatic Trans

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket shift kit out there for my new automatic 06 gt. I really like the interior but that shifter has to go.

Thanks in advance

Aftermarket shift kit or aftermarket shifter? Please specify!
The answer is "no" to both actually but The B&M shifter for the 2005-2007 Mustangs will be released sometime soonI imagine.
The 5R55S transmission shift points are set via the tune and do not use a valve body so no shift kits are possible.

Sorry for the confusion, but I am a newbie to the automatic world.

I guess it would be the shifter, Iam looking for something like a B&M Mega shifter.

Something with a T-handle and a boot.

Thanks
Again

Happy Doug has your car running so good!
Anyways.....
There is no aftermarket shifter available yet. The B&M ratchet shifter has been delayed.

So if I'm just wanting to firm up the shift points, etc. (basically do what a B&M shift kit used to do) I have to use a tuner to do this? I'm also kinda new to this computerized stuff, my last auto was a 91 cougar, shift kit worked like a charm on it.

Yes the 5R55 is all computer controlled, to make changes to the Trans requires the computer be modified. The best way to modify the computer is with a tune from one of the mail order tuners. If you buy the SCT or Diablo tuner, I like the SCT, from them they will include their tunes with the purchase. You don’t have to get a CAI if you don’t want to you can just get the tuner. This is what I did because I knew I was going FI in the future and the CAI would not be used. The best tuner IMHO for automatics is Doug at B A M A C H I P S. The other tuners Brenspeed, Lido, RWTD and others are also good you really can’t go wrong with whomever you choose.

Does Doug at BamaChips sell a new shifter because that is what he is asking about?

Currently no one makes an automatic shifter for our cars. B&M has one almost ready to market but it has been delayed by their acquisition of another company. There is a big difference between an shifter and a shift kit.
