Magnaflow or Borla Axle-Backs

Magnaflow or Borla Axle-Backs

Can anyone comment on either the Magnaflow (15882- not the Magnapack) or Borla (GTA- not the Stingers) axle back mufflers? How loud, how much drone?

magnaflow-quiet as hell with otherwise stock exhaust components.

borla-deeper, throatier, not out of control.

I agree, the Magnaflow are too quiet, smooth however, but too quiet. The Borla stingers have drone. I think the best of both worlds, if those2 are you only considerations, are the oval Borlas aka FRPP GTA's.

The people here with them are quite satisfied, if drone is an issue for ya.

Yeah, I have the Magnapack Cat Backwith the Kooks setup and its damn LOUDD! But the other mufflers are very quiet.

I have the Magnaflow axle-back and an otherwise stock exhaust. It's pretty quiet. Not much different than stock really. They look nice, but I can't say it was the best $400 I've spent on a car mod.

My hope is that it'll prove to be the right choice if I add headers and/or perhaps the Magnaflow X-pipe with their high flow cats.

i'll tell you what to do; i just heard this setup on video and it sounds AWESOME: o/r x pipe with your current set up. do NOT get the H pipe with bullet mufflers; get the X pipe. you'll thank me. sounds awesome. ill find the clip; i think its on youtube, but someone posted it here.
