Depends on how much money you want to spend, and how much HP you're looking for. 99% of people on here will tell you that a CAI and tune is the best bang-for-the-buck. You can pick up ~20 whp for about $500-$700. Axlebacks don't do much for power, just sound. Longtubes and o/r x or h-pipes can net another 20 whp.

A CAI and tune will net you a bit more hp. And if you need another good kick in the pants go for a set of4.10 or 4.30 gears(if your a manual). Gears including gearset, install kit, and install can be had for for around 600-700 bucks.

CAI and Tune, or at first get a CAI that doesn't need a tune like granatelli CAI, AirRaid CAI(best) or K&N CAI. Or go for some 4.10's to move your heavy convertible down the street or track.

You'll find that once you start, there is no turning back, and you'll always want a little more. CAI and tune from Brenspeed is a good place to start.
