400 RWHP to 450 RWHP seems to be safe.. from what I have read and seen .. some may give you higher numbers.. but I wouldn't go over that on MY car.. unless I had a different block.. ( which a lot of people are doing .. and getting very high numbers )

400 or so max. Donot get fooled by some of these numbers of 480 etc. Most of these guys with high dyno numbers are from a dyno jets which will give you a much higher number. Stick to 400-420 area and you will be ok.

The GT500 has an 5.4 L 4 valve engine with an Eaton Blower. The engine makes pretty good numbers, but its heavy as all hell. Iron Block < Aluminum Block

Not bad except nothing inside will stay glued together from what you're saying.
That sucks but all too common I guess.
I know, that 5.4 liter isone heavy monster!
I'm thinking, well dreaming of when I can afford a BOSS 302 crate engine and swap my 4.0 out for it.
Now that's what I call excellent HP to weight ratio all around!

Also, the Shelby will be able to withstand more than a standard GT. It was built for FI.
