Which part is the most overpriced?

RE: Which part is the most overpriced?
I agree that the prices of draftshafts and headers are out of linewhen compared to other years models.
But I have to side with Billb60 -- $1,000 for a pair of camshafts? Holy crow.

$5,000+ for a roots style blower. Absolutely ridiculous!!!! By far the most overpriced aftermarket part for the SN-197. You can pick up 6-71 blower for a small block chevy for $2,500, a 8-71 for a big block chevy for $2,700. A Weiand roots style blower for a small block chevy for $1600.
For you centrifigal fans out there. grab a small block ford Paxton for$2,700, or a Vortech for a BBC for $2,800.
Roots style blowers have been around forever!!! Why are we being raped for a roots blower? Same old school technology, new higher price. Sure these new KB blowers are billet, twin rotor, cnc cut blah blah blah, very nice yes. But $5-6k nice. Not in my opinion.
I just hope in a couple years there's enough competition out that the price falls to a more realistic $3-3500, because as much as I'm bitching I really really want one.
