Which part is the most overpriced?

RE: Which part is the most overpriced?
Aluminum one piece driveshafts for earlier Mustangs go for HALF the price of the S197. The same can be said for many other parts too. I think everyone should stop buying EVERYTHING for our cars. Watch how quickly the prices go down to get your dollar. Supply and demand my friends.

RE: Which part is the most overpriced?
Question,
since Ford provided a two piece driveshaft for our mustangs, why did they design it that way?
What's the advantage if any other than perhaps less stress on the universal joints?
Is there any geometry issue on using a one piece vs a two piece driveshaft on our cars?
Obviously less weight and more power getting to the pavementis better but what about the other differences? Guess it doesn't matter since the one piece shafts have been race proven, at least one or two of them and they are selling very well. Kind of pricey though! Not a very practical expendature for daily driver cars unless you've upped the engine's output so much it can't be avoided I guess. So far I haven't heard anything about the stock shaft being a weak point with hopped upversions of our stangs.
Curious. I thought I'd put the question out here to see what others think/feel etc.
Personally I do like the idea of a 17 lb.one piece shaft vs. two piece 48 lb.
